if anyone is into singer/songwriters with a fresh perspective, highly recommend Jason Isbell- who has some stunning lyrical prowess. Originally he came from the Drive By Truckers but split off a few years ago. He has a new album released later this month, but Southeastern is one of my favs:

fyi- the LP is compressed due to length (single LP, 48 mins), so recommend the digital version.
