I spent 25 years learning what makes an amazing audio cable. In that 25 years, I never made a cable that wasn't better than the generation before it, hearing is believing and my current audio system is more revealing than my Sennheiser HD-800 headphones. I've been doing some networking , collecting some believers and discussing the can't miss aspects of an audio cable with almost no inductance, ultra low capacitance that deals with skin effect and I can create a white paper that may send audiophiles into a buying frenzy, finally able to rid themselves of the message from their brains that something is wrong, (time to buy a new piece of gear, snap) time for a new piece of gear, never works never has. I haven't suffered through that in many years, My friends in a select circle haven't either so it does seem to be real. No white papers because there isn't really anything new to say, just the same old cryogenic treated wire that was sent to pass by the sun to be super heat treated and back to the cryogenic treatment and on through the magic voodoo machine complete with wand.

Is that supposed to be impressive? Headphones don't sound like speakers loading into a room and they never will. I find all good stereo systems to be far more revealing of what was actually recorded than any pair of headphones ever could. When is your cable coming to market? Who is going to sell it? How much is it going to cost? Who is going to actually manufacture your cable and terminate it?

here is a link to a couple of pics. Spiral groove moved 12,000 ft of my cable in the last couple years under spiral groove grooveline. We couldn't reach an agreement on our relationship to go forwad so we terminated our relationship and I am having it manufactured myself for the third run. Up to this point I have had about 20,000 of my cable made which is now gone, I am preparing to have another run completed. I originally called ichor Link ( linear impedance non inductive kabling) Ichor is an ethereal fluid that flows in veins of the gods. I loved that name. My cable will be somewhat affordable, Elektrisola will do the wire, Victor cable will do the extrusion and construction. This will be my third cable run. Mep what is your business calling that allows you to judge me. Here is a link to some pics of my cable and speakers and power cord.

I wanted to add that a well known dealer here in California with their own turntable line with speakers designed by a famous German speaker builder with an electronics line chose to not only use my cable at multiple ces shows but internally wire everything they made in the last 4 years with my wire. Last year I was told that several dealer show rooms were having sound problems and by using my cable , the problems went away, so I guess I'm not exactly a hobbyist beginner.

This wire can be used as interconnect, speaker cable, power cords, and digital cable. Strangely enough it has the same effect on anything it's hooked up to. Way back when it improved the picture on my laser disc player as a video cable, it almost seems like a magical cable, my words of course, but the exact same design is used in all cases, just different ultimate stranding to change the gauge. When used as a power cord, the device presents a smoother sound, strange but true. I have no idea at final cost because it will be dealer dependent, I can't handle a cable direct unless I get an offer of strategic partner ship. I am partially disabled now from all the heavy lifting I did working in lumber. I can say it won't be a big dollar rip off like the guys that pretend their cryogenic cable that winds up being sent on a rocket ship past the sun and then through the voodoo chamber.

the patent office gave me a patent for actual wire gauges 40-60 because I made an argument that the diameter of the wire controls linearity issues with frequency. I made wires with 56 gauge wire 25 years ago, when I had to develop techniques to see the wire come off of a spool which will hold 262 miles of wire on only one spool. Whenever I discuss wire on forums which I don't usually do which gets me nothing but ridicule and disdain. People laugh and scoff and this go round they didn't realize that I've sold over 20,000 feet in the last few years with one company ordering expensive wire to internally wire everything they made with it. From the inside of the tone arm through every component right the driver. So my patent covers litz cable from 40-60 gauge which I've never seen. I saw the forest through the trees and I will put up what I've got in my living room against anything in the world. Now i'm talking about the resolution I get because the only thing I've purchased in it is my Oppo blu ray transport and my lovely job225 amp. I even got banned from the "what's best forum". What they didn't know was I was a professional arm wrestler for 25 years and banging out stuff from behind your keyboard making really personal insults doesn't impress me. In the real world I never experienced fools saying those kind of things to me like on the what's best forum, shame shame on them. They laughed, scoffed, ridiculed and insulted me saying where's the science and my patent was a joke. I used the comparison with my sennheiser hd800 headphones and they insulted me over that one. I don't know of anyone ever saying that there stereo speaker system beat state of the art headphones for ultimate resolution and speed directly out of a high quality dac.

I'm half expecting to get thrown off of this forum as well, but then you all won't be able to follow my build and find out when and where. In the end, my cable technology has gotten me entrance to some exclusive friendships in audio with some brilliant people. Most importantly, people that use my cable never, ever go through the audiophile blues when their brain tells them something is wrong. I've been content because I've always understood my systems might have limitations but not by much. I hope to help bring peace of mind to all my tortured buddies in audio, not a bad goal.

I even got banned from the "what's best forum".

To be fair, I thought that was BS. I even told the mod he over stepped his authority. I despise censorship, although it is needed for some situations/people.

Incidentally, in the same thread, Caelin Gabriel, with Shunyata, offered to evaluate your cable, which, to me, seemed like a golden opportunity

Blue Fox
I've been doing this long enough where somebody's evaluation doesn't mean much to me. When Bill Low first heard my cable in his sound room, after 10 seconds he paused playback and said to me "what have you done here ?" I'll never forget the perplexed look on his face and he offered to buy my cable and my partner at the time wouldn't release me from our personal written agreement. Another famous audio designer whom I shouldn't name listened to one track on one cd and said to me " what kind of a deal are you looking for ?" and he was the chief cable designer for a large company tWhen an audiophile has never heard a level of resolution they didn't think possible, first reaction is of bewilderment. I am going to
release a detailed description ( like a white paper ) when I go to market because when is the last time a cable manufacturer told a customer specifically what they have done that's different. I just came from the Shunyata technology and as far as I can tell they use an etron technology that says exactly nothing about what they are doing. Personally, I know what factors most influence the sound of a cable, first being the conductible nature of the wire and then the gauge, and can anyone tell me what the preferred gauges of their favorite manufacturer is? Don't think so. I had a dealer tell me that when I define what and why I've created my cable the way I have, I will be given ( maybe instant acceptance) of why there seems to be an actual explanation. I think it's pretty cool, a sine wave going down a wire that you can't see.
My first name I picked was Ichor because by definition "it is an ethereal fluid that flows in the veins of the gods" I love this definition as soon as I saw it I new that I had to call my wire that.

You say that you have had many of your cables sold in the past. About how much did they sell for? Any customer testimonials?

I am not trying to pick an arguement, I am curious. I have been looking to upgrade my cables with some DIY cables. Perhaps you could sell your wire to people who want to build their own.

Bandor,

You saying that no other brand
Compares with your cable.
Then You should start building
your Ichor cable company and
Let the consumers evaluate your
Products.

All cable companies say the
same thing but at the end is US that have the last word.

And Bandor, try to be more nice
with people here, is like you want
to get ban.
AudioShark is recognize as a friendly forum and you are welcome to be part of us

Best regards,

Nelson

Well said Nelson. Bandor - send me some speaker cables and I will give an honest review. I'm sure Nelson would too. We have no axe to grind, only the search for absolute sound.

I went to the Ansuz Acoustic website and saw no mention of any specifics on how they build their cable.
I think the bottom line is when people review my cable and see what I've used it may upset the balance of mumbo jumbo used today to describe what someone might hear. It sounds more like an excursion into creative writing. When is the last time anybody read a realistic sounding explanation of how they build cables????
