I just love the new iPhone app. For me, the iPhone makes much more sense to use as a remote than the iPad. Anyway, I did discover a much needed enhancement to be added.

It turns out that playlists are stored on either the iPad or the iPhone. This means neither device can see playlists created on the other device. What you need to do is load the playlist, switch to the other device, and then save it on the new device. Obviously, this is a pain in the butt.

I feel that playlists should be stored on the Lumin so that any device can see it.

Anyway, thanks for the iPhone app.

All current Lumin products are controlled and configured via the Lumin app, and they also rely on the Lumin app to provide firmware upgrade. So...

One thing I have noticed since I started using the iPhone app, which I love, is that I haven't experienced the playlist bug. This bug was that after 'trashing' a playlist, and loading another is that sometimes the app would display song 'X' as playing, but song 'Y' from the previous playlist would actually be playing. For example, after deleting the Marilyn Manson playlist, and starting the classical playlist then after a bit a MM song would start.

Lumin app 6.0.2 for iOS now supports sharing of saved playlists among multiple devices such as iPad and iPhone via iCloud. It also adds favorite sort options for Tidal.

I love the iPhone app. However, the button layout is not very ergonomic. The buttons at the top (pause, play, etc) need to be at the bottom, and the buttons at the bottom (trash, add playlist, etc) need to be at the top. Current layout requires using two hands, one to hold the phone, and the other to select the top buttons. Reversing the buttons will allow one hand use for the majority of the time.

I have some sympathy for this - I'll discuss it with the team. If implemented, it's likely that we'll add it as an option, rather than the default.
