While my signature says "NO TV!" I do in fact have several televisions in my house but none are set up with any components.

I have six very good (but not by audiophile HT standards) Fostex PM-2 MkII powered speakers in the house presently being used with computers and a powered AR subwoofer not presently in use in the basement that I could hook up to the television in my TV room to improve the audio experience of television. I still won't be watching many movies, but I thought, let's see what I can put together for not a lot of money.

Remember I said CHEAP pre-amp processor, (NOT RECEIVER) so we're talking very low entry level. I do not need power amps because I already have powered speakers.

Does anybody have suggestions?

Thanks.

The Lexicon DC-1 comes to mind as does almost any Denon, Yamaha, etc.... AVR having been sold in the past 10 years or so. I know AVR's have a small amp in them and you won't be using it, but it does check off the pre-amp box and they are CHEAP, including the remote!

I do have a Sherbourn PT-7030 hanging around here not being used but it's not exactly "cheap".

Good luck!
