I'm not sure if this has been discussed a lot.... but....

I'm not typically one who likes to put a lot of boxes between my digital components, but I have noticed one in particular that has seemingly made a very positive difference.

the iFi USB 3.0 -- I have noticed at friends and shows, this has made quite a difference. Very smooth and relaxed outcome.

I picked up the brand while I was in Europe. Highly impressed.
 
Wait until you hear their iFi Phono 2 :)

I think that's still their best piece...
 
The iFI iGalvanic 3.0 should also make a splash, good brand and solid products at competitive prices = great addition to your portfolio Mike.

I had one on demo but it didnt work while my system was in flux. I own the original and it was good.
 
Hi.. I am a newby here.

I have a SSD, fanless PC... with a low noise switching PSU. Very quite for a PC. I used to think it sounded very good.

Recently.. I added a iFi iPurifier 2 to my DAC's USB input. Using an excellent USB cable. On the other end at the USB port, I placed an iFi iSilencer 3.0.

Relaxed in comparison. I refuse to listen now without them...

My audio roots are NY. Used to work at Eardrum Audio in Nanuet, NY. Also worked as a line repairman for BSR corp in Blauvelt, NY.
 
Their iPower wall warts are great too. They are low noise designs, where care has been taken to limit both the noise at the DC output AND the noise beeing kicked back to the AC line. $49 they are a steal.

They are available in variety of DC voltages and you can use them to replace the crappy generic wall warts that come with cheap DACs, USB converters/regenerators and even routers.

You just inspired me.. My modem router is 12v DC. Every time I got a different modem the sound of my streaming changed. It can make a difference considering DSL modem power supplies are not designed for an audiophile.

Just ordered on Amazon. AND CANCELLED...

This would be more versatile for me. The DC iPurifier. Its to be used with any existing DC power supply ranging from 5v to 24 v. And, very important. It informs you when you got the correct polarity.

Just got my iFi DC iPurifier today.

For the first few hours was not sure it was worth it... Then the sound began to open up.

I am running it from an ordinary DC 12v PSU that came with my AT&T Netgear 7550.

My computer is now surrounded by iFi's! My DAC...4 of the 3.0 USB's.. and now the modem power supply.
