I first noticed this little box, hidden behind the curtains in several rooms at Axpona. I then noticed it again at Munich. These were companies that were neither affiliated or representing iFi Micro, they were just using it. A real testament.

Well, I've been living with this little magic box for about two months now. I've gone back and forth between using it and removing it.

The presentation with it in the system is just better all around - better separation, smoother, but most importantly, a layer of digital hash (noise) has been removed. This little device cancels noise, reclocks and regenerates and repeats for the USB signal.

I have ordered iFi Micro's Geninia Dual Headed USB cable which adds a further layer of separation and noise cancellation.

Simply, this little baby makes digital better.

For $399 MSRP, it's a no brainer. I better order more for the store.

I can only confirm what Mike says above. I connected the IFi Micro USB 3.0 between an Auralic Aries and a MSB Analoge Dac and the sound improvement was of such magnitude that my college thought something were broken when we excluded the IFi unit from the system[emoji1] It is really a killer for the money and I rather spend money on the iFi unit than on a more expensive USB cable.

This device operates under similar principals as the W4S Recovery or the UpTone Regen?

I have the Regen and it never did what this baby does. I'm ordering a sh!t load. If you want me to send you want to play with, let me know.

I also just started experimenting with the iFi Tube 2. I use it on the Esoteric Grandioso K1 and when you put it in SET mode with 3D sound, holy crapola. Amazing!

Let me know if you want to try that too.

Some people on other forums have had some success using the iTube2 as a single source preamp. Would be interesting to try if you can live without the remote.

I'll give it a go.

The tubes is why I have stuck with the Musical Paradise DAC for so long even though it may not be "state of the art" compared to MSB, Berkley, Dave, etc. There is just something about tubes and a DAC that sounds right to my ears. As good as the Aqua DAC is it isn't tubes. So if the iFi unit gives you the option of that it has to be a good thing. Plus you can always defeat it when you want.

Why? Are you a dealer?

There is none. They are working direct with dealers.

Thanks Mike! I am having an issue with an AMR product and have not be able to track down the last distributor.

Any idea how this might sound compared to a Sonore MicroRendu?

Thanks.....

The MicroRendu never did what this iFi USB 3.0 is doing and the tube buffer on 3D mode is insanely good. I'm ordering a lot - so let me know.
