I couldn't resist!

Are you going to get the level 2 charging unit for the home and I recommend also get an adapter to use Chargpoint stations if you decide to travel outside the city and NO Telsa charging stations are close . .

I was planning on sharing the 10-30 dryer outlet in my garage but I’m thinking it more prudent to have a dedicated level 2 installed. Now I’m debating between the new Tesla wall mount charger or the recommended 14-50 outlet installed with cord. My only big hurdle is the AC panel is across the house in the basement, could not be any further away. Damn.

My neighbor is an electrician so I need to discuss it with him. I don’t plan on being in the house more than 4 years or so. Whatever I do the dryer outlet needs upgrading for sure. A slightly slower charge at 15-21 mph should not be a problem

If you are only going to be in the house for four more years I'd opt for the dryer outlet or use a regular 110volt and the supplied power charger that comes with the car. The price of copper and hookup price for a long run will never be appreciated. And the new owner will just thank you. For long trips you still have the Tesla supercharging network.

The only problem with a standard 120v outlet is that I’ll be in a constant deficit because my commute is at least 80 miles round trip and with some side trips, up to 100 miles a day. The dryer outlet and something like a dryer buddy, makes the most sense.

Sheesh.... When you accidentally think you are on your bike momently & are actually in your car & it is 4 times wider....Not a slur on you driving/riding skills.
I don't know what you're inferring, but I never think I am "momentarily on my bike" when driving the car.

I raced and trained really hard for years and years and years to ride or drive with maximal discipline, at all times.
