The other day I was browsing, and saw this funny little thing on the interweb. It’s called Little Fwend, like children would pronounce friend.
It comes in this neat, and thought through, minimalistic packaging.
So what is it? Most of the high-end turntables nowadays are not really semi-automatic. At the end of the vinyl you got to get up to lift your needle out of the groove, if you don’t want it to run an infinite loop around the label.
This Little Fwend offers you a nice and simple, fully mechanical lifting mechanism for your tonearm. Installation is super easy (guide in the package), and takes three minutes incl. testing. Place the Fwend on the plinth, adjust height and lifting point, test for correct operation, and off you go. An adhesive metal circle comes in the package to put underneath the device, and the Little Fwend is held in the right spot via a magnet underneath it.
And it surprisingly works. Why not?
