I noticed frequent dropout occurs mainly with music stored in Internal HDDs, there was no dropouts with external music thru USB dock Via AMM, so I suspect the internal HDD may be getting worn out and is thinking of attempting to replace a new 2TB, (or even 4TB, but remembered someone mentioned the 2 HDD must be same size?).
Can anyone teach me how best to go about this on an N10? Thxs
My N10 must be about 5 years old.

If you can remove the HDD and put it inside a PC, run a freeware SMART HDD report tool to generate a detailed SMART report with raw values, I can help you confirm whether your HDD is faulty.

Note: I'm not responsible if this voids your warranty.

Try having the USB track queue or started playing, then pull the usb drive out. If it still plays the entire song, means cache was made to the SSD and your SSD should be good if whole song can be played back smoothy.
