i want to use very wide dispersion in ceiling atmos effect in ceiling speakers
that sound incredible from above
where you can hear every fine detail effect from above that sound holographic
with a complete 3d field bubble effect all around you

i was thinking either monitor audio 380 idc or kef 200rr thx or klipsh cdt-5800-c 2 version or any other in ceiling speaker that would do an even better task for what i asked for

i asked dolby laboroties whats ideal to use they said choose in ceiling speakers with the following effect

so what do you all recommend to use

It would seem according to your criteria from Dolby you should go with the brand you are using for main speakers.

We've had this discussion in the past, and, granted many audio enthusiasts, especially those with more emphasis on stereo, don't understand, or, don't care, that "bubble" they are talking about can't be achieved properly without timbre matched speakers.

Any speaker will produce asound where it's located, but, to recreate the enveloping bubble, surround, the speakers have to timbre match for seamless panning of sound and for the speakers to mesh with one another.

People think this statement extreme, but, it really is the same as using mismatched speakers for stereo, it just isn't going to sound right, although, you will hear both channels that way.

The problem Bryan, is that Emotiva does not make in wall or ceiling speakers. They have on wall.

But I certainly agree with what you are saying.
