Help selecting wifi speakers

Only using my cell phone. Streaming music to wifi speakers. No amp. No Bluetooth!

Looking to spend up to $700 per speaker to get 3 speakers which pair together: 1 sub-woofer and 2 speakers.

Do you think I need to buy a sub-woofer for these portable speakers? Or just regular speakers will do? I don't see any sub woofers.

There was a full review of these a couple of months ago. I cannot remember if it was in Stereophile or The Absolute Sound (I subscribe to both) but I remember that they were on the cover of the issue. The review was absolutely outstanding!
