well some of you know i ordered a allnic t1500 300b integrated amp.
i have heard this on 4 different occasions but never heard this with stock tubes, and when i get it i plan on breaking it in with whatever tubes are in it. but the sound im looking for and bought is including the emission labs 300b xls monster size tubes. now im also looking at the kr audio 300b xls and some i spoke to say they are better than the emission. does anyone have any experience with both of these??
im sure few have heard both. but i figured i would ask anyway.
ill probably end up with both.lol. why not, but with the money im laying out on the amp i need to get one first.
the emission labs is $742 a pair

the kr audio xls is $819 a pair

After hearing the Psvane WE Replica series I say go for the WE Replica 300b's.

Maybe the Sophia Royal Princess too. I think either of these will be worth the extra price.

i will eventually get into one of those you mentioned, but the sonics these xls's deliver into my just 90db speakers is incredible, and with 12.5w coming the xls adding watts to the amp is what i need right now. so i only have 2 choices at the moment. but believe me how good the sophia 300b's were compared to the others in my test, there is a pair of royal princess in my future. just need a few more db's in my speakers.
i sent an email off to tubeusa who sells both and im sure has heard both for their advise. see what i get in reply.

Buy the biggest one. :)
well i know the emissions are so big the glass cover does not fit back on the amp with them in there , and the kr looks smaller but i never saw them in person. the allnic manual says the xls add power and it would be considered a 15 or 16w amp with them in there, i dont remember which.

haha!!! you guys are funny but im dealing with serious issues here. black or silver, kr or emissions. its tough work!!! :D j/k of course.
i got a super fast response from both doug and the guy from tubeusa who both said go emission labs. better tube better track record. so that settles it.
now moving on to speakers.lmao!!!

thx Mark, man that pic is sweet i need to get up there to hear your gear and visit you and Paul. sounds like a nice springtime drive after the cold winter.

That looks great Mark. I'd even think about taking off all the tube protectors. Does it make a difference sound wise whether they're on or off?

I think the stacks look cool and keep kids fingers away.
i agree too!!

I wouldn't think so either but others may have better hearing than me.

they have to come off fo rthe xls tubes to go on there, they are way too big to cover again. my dealer mentioned he was talking to allnic about bigger covers for xls, but i figure why bother.

.

<= Steve, I say talk to the hand... :D
lol!!! those tubes are huge they make 845's look like 12ax7's.

Pretty sure Allnic designed their tube covers to reduce microphonics, so worth keeping on if they fit.
