Gun for hire?

Thanks Jim. There's no rush, so I'll try to team with someone next year for would-be Kronos installs. There have been some excellent suggestions here and it may make sense to have two people based on Geographical requirements.

Haha! Chris, you obviously don't know this group! They are a "digital rules" bunch. You ought to hear Ronnie Tarr and I mumbling at the meetings as we spin another CD on an Oppo. [emoji16]. Great guys, but definitely more digital focused folks.

And I really want someone who's been doing TT setups for a living. The person Jon (VTSkier) recommended would probably be ideal. It's part of his business and he understands the customer side from all his years at Goodwins.

Wow and here I thought those guys had something going on down there. The digital boys, never would have thought. Yep you need a pro's pro to do it right the first time, every time. .

Mike,

Look up Stirling Trayle (http://www.audiosystemsoptimized.com/). Turntable set up and speaker optimization seem to be his specialties.

I've been using Stirling to do my TT setups for some time. A real expert. Takes his time to make sure the job is perfect. Lots of the pros use him also - Roy Gregory, Mikey Fremer, VPI. He does a lot of show set ups. Not cheap, but I think the best. After he set my system up for the first time, he took the time to show me how dialing in the VTA changes the sound - what to listen for and how it is reproducible, so I could do it when he wasn't there.

Andre Jennings...Dre_J here at Audioshark is well known for his turntable setup expertise.... Don't know if he is available currently. Apologies to Andre if I over stepped here.
It's certainly worth asking !!

All the best, Tom

Have heard he is good....in upper percentile like Stirling.
