Anyone here use boutique fuses? I found that the HiFi Tuning Supreme fuses directionally orientated helped improve the resolution subtlety on McIntosh MC2301s. If have them in the C1000 too. I believe Furutech fuses are just as good....
At the end of the day, they have to work as fuses. When my 3rd MC2301 malfunctioned shortly after an initial break-in period, I blew a few of these coming to the realisation that the amp was misbehaving. All was good again after some minor warranty medical attention, but the fuses did save the amp from sustaining any serious damage.

I used to use tin foil as a temporary fuse in my old '68 BSA.

Myles remember to remove the powder from the cartridge. :snicker:
