This week I started using the Aukey USB to Lightning Cable ($9.99 on Amazon). I had found that the stock Apple cable would sometimes cut out when I connected my iPhone 5 to the audio USB jack in my Porsche Cayenne. I play Tidal files through my iPhone by lightning to USB cable. The Aukey cable produced an upgrade in sound quality that is unmistakable. It is comparable to any premium cable upgrade I have ever made. The sound presentation is more coherent with greater separation of instruments and more rich tone. I am reminded of the first time I replaced a stock power cord with a premium audiophile quality cord. I was hoping for better build quality and a more reliable connection. I got a great deal more. I speculate that it is the use of some basic shielding in the construction that helps the SQ. If you run Tidal off of your phone using a USB in your car, then this $10 cable is a must! Thank me later...

And a great mobile data plan. AT&T and Verizon both dropped their unlimited data plans and Sprint and T-Mobile put a 22gb cap on their service, which is intended to slow down the speeds for its heavy users.

That's why I hold onto my grandfathered Verizon unlimited data plan and won't let go. ;)
