Hi;
Hopefully this is the right place for this. I'm thinking about getting my father a GoPro for Christmas but I unfortuantely know next to nothing about them and was looking for some assistance. The intended use of the camera would be on an ATV which has a windscreen so mouting it on the handlebars doesn't make a lot of sense because the clarity of the video would be diminished due to looking through the windscreen. The ATV does have front racks so that's an option as would a helmet mount. I think a helmet mount would get the camera above the windscreen the majority of the time. A chest mount would be an issue for the same reason as the handlebar mount, viewing through the windscreen. Any thoughts on the best mount to get and placement as well as any other must have accessories for ATV useage that I need to know of?
He doesn't have a 4k tv with no immediate plans of getting one nor is his laptop capable of 4k so would there be any need to get one of the Hero4 variants, they are noticeably more expensive than the Hero3 models? I'm even confused about the Hero3's as there are different variants here as well. Any ideas on the best model to get? I'm really in the dark with all of this.
With Black Friday upon us this will probably be a good time to purchase if I know what model to get.
