Tip #202 in Get Better Sound is a list of music suggested for tuning/voicing an audio system. My (possibly flawed) searches in these forums has not found a reference to any sort of playlist that has been made for tip #202.

Is anyone aware of a high resolution playlist of that music?

Thanks.

I tend to use my own music. I've heard Jim's playlist, and sure is a good one, but I have my own list of songs I like to use for voicing and setup.

One track I like to use is the mono voice track. It's a demo disk from Legacy Audio. I use a song by Celine Dion - What a Wonderful world. Livingston Taylor - isn't she lovely (just the whistling at the beginning) and more.

Pages 227-234. FWIW - that list was compiled over 9 years ago, with many of the cuts being those that I used at audio shows for Avantgarde from 2000-2005.

Thanks, Jim. In 2017 is there a "top 10" list of tracks that you consider really involving or revealing of key attributes of a system? That info may be the secret sauce of your work. If so, no problem.

Actually my RoomPlay voicing playlist contains about 130 cuts - probably some 40 or so which may be used for a given voicing session - based on issues in that system that I hear.

But listing any of those cuts without having a reference for what they should sound like is of no value to anyone, IMO.

Again, many thanks, Jim. It's probably very difficult to teach that "reference sound" when you arrive at someone's sub-optimal system. I can only imagine how challenging your work must be.
