After upgrading to 7.0 I am trying to make a new playlist (Creedence Clearwater Revival). After I select the songs from the first CD, I then try to add songs from other CDs. No can do. Only the first CD can enter songs to the new playlist. Now to figure out how to go back to the the 6.x firmware.

This is using a USB attached drive.

Whoa. I could not clear this 'new' playlist. I had to power cycle to be able to use an existing playlist.

LOL. I knew you would say that. :)

However, now that I have powered cycled the S1 let me try it again. I didn't watch this time to make sure the system rebooted after the upgrade.

Well, when I read the word "Major"...I have to wonder. Major is the upgrade turns the Lumin into a brick! LOL.

After power cycling the S1, it appears okay for both adding songs to a playlist, and deleting it.

Downgrading bug to minor, as it appears S1 was not rebooted after upgrade.

All is well in the universe. :)

Everything in perspective. After a few beers, not being able to create a playlist is major. :)

Yes, it is Friday night. LOL.

Unfortunately, the bug is legitimate. I just tried again to make a CCR playlist, and again, only songs from the first CD can be added. As before, I cannot remove the damaged playlist via the trash ICON. This time I thought maybe adding another playlist would override the damaged playlist. So, I tried to play my Rolling Stones playlist, and it is a no go.

However, I am now wondering if it is the firmware, or a compatibility issue with 7.0 firmware, and 5.0 app software. I rebooted the S1, and the damaged playlist was still there. After restarting the app, I was able to get rid of it, and play something else.

Also, for those who have never developed software, or done software QA, just because you do not see an issue does not mean the issue does not exist.

There is good news. It appears songs can still be added to an existing playlist, so that points us to the 'new playlist' code section for a starting point.

Even on the weekend I have to work. :)

When you encounter this issue again, could you try killing the app and restarting it, without rebooting the S1?

Thx for update Bud. I have been using it without issues. However, I have not been exercising the functionality like you. Indeed, this is software and I have yet to see a perfect and bug free product. Some bugs are more visible than others.

I'm sure our Lumin friends will take care of the issue quickly.

Bud, True! My response was not meant to say there was no bug... Only that I have had no issues. You are more of a "power user" than I, and probably much more likely to discover an issue. I'm glad you have an S1 to help keep this programming straight!

Like the old saying goes, "It's a poor carpenter that blames his tools." :P

My two Olive 04HD music servers have caught me not reading everything on the touch screen before proclaiming something is wrong. It happens.

Some more data. Today I was able to create a CCR playlist with songs from various CD folders. However, after I started playing it I pressed the 'forward' button to advance to a random track. While the new track started playing, the track playing in the left pane stayed pointing at the first track. Pressing the icon at the bottom would not update to the playing track. I had no issue playing different tracks, but the left display never updated.

I restarted the app, but not the S1, and after a restart it worked fine.
