Filming Animal From Space Leads to Incredible Discovery

Wow!

Some incredible images. Makes me realize how much beauty is around the world. How some of those animals survive in the most hostile places is beyond me.
 
But the shots we are seeing in that video were taken from the ground, on planet Earth, right?

The cameramen are close to the animals, or @ a fair distance with a good video camera zooming lens, on the same ground as them, right?

Thanks for sharing that link. Drones are indeed more easier to have access to but as the article rightly mentions at the end - there is a downside to their use as well. Drones are extremely noisy especially in a wilderness setting. I have seen that video of the bear cub referred to in that article and it is heartbreaking to see the stress that the bear cub is under while obviously spooked by the drone.

Satellite videos offer an unobtrusive method for researchers to observe their subjects.
