Facebook is for “old people” and it’s floundering...

Fake news, LOL

Kids don't want to hang where there's any rules.

I am on FB. Those here who criticize it should realize FB provides a lot of control to allow you control what you see and who from. I found old friends and school mates, family I don't get to see enough etc. I like pages of audio brands, magazines, even some place called Suncoast. I like I can check it with my phone. If I don't like what someone posts and it's consistently bugging me, I just don't follow them anymore.

I forgot who it was below that said they don't use FB, the phone is good enough. You must still have an old fashion house phone, calling is the last thing phones are used for these days, LOL When I finally got a smart phone I couldn't believe all the screens and such I had to go through to make a call. It got better once I created contact list and could tell the phone who to call. Trust me, though, I was longing for my old flip phone for the longest. And, don't get me started on texting, by the time I have to go back and rewrite what the spell check and suggestion feature scres up I might as well just call and get it over with :) And, I know it's like FB and has controls, it's just finding them. Now I am sounding old

Brian.......Funny stuff. Yep, I still talk to people on the telephone, even though it has been a long time since I made a call on one of these.

I now use a Samsung Galaxy S7 and enjoy the connectivity. A quick text message works sometimes, sending and receiving emails while on the go is handy, and surfing the Internet is entertaining and useful, but I still prefer to talk. Calling is not complicated. I call Marlene's phone or call my home phone with single taps on my home screen. For everyone else I tap the Contacts icon, tap a name, tap the dial icon. It doesn't get much simpler. Just because I am an older person doesn't mean I can't embrace modern technology. Still, no matter how I connect, social media is of no interest to me. If we can't talk, email, or text, then we don't communicate.

Call? You mean like a PAID call on the telecom network??

No man. Its all about Whatsapp or MS Messenger FREE calls now. LoL
Payback for all the (decades of) gouging the TelCos did to us.

In any case, many of my most frequent (audio & otherwise) contacts would be OVERSEAS calls and would be crippling at old Telco rates. I call one buddy sometimes 5 times a day cross continent. Family in 4 countries, etc..

Whatsapp rules....

I immediately deleted my account and Whatsapp when Facebook bought them. The porn spam was getting ridiculous as well.
You mean Messenger, not whatsapp, no? Edit...you are correct. FB owns both now.

I never EVER get spam on either...must be my security settings.
