for those interested to hear how your system renders piano, i can recommend this release which is available on qobuz as well as on vinyl:

erik satie | inities - performed by branka parlic

also regardless of your genre tastes, this such a great musical experience... superb performance expertly recorded in a 100% analog process. over the past 10 days or so, i have listened to the entire album 11 times.

this one gets a most highly regarded rating

i bought the download and also purchased the double LP in the event i actually do add an analog source to my system. if interested, get yours... only 500 copies pressed. also available on 15 IPS R2R but that my be a bit too optimistic in my case!!

more info here and here.

enjoy with my compliments! ;)

Thanks but not to my taste. Far too slow and a little laboured. I have CDs of Pascal Roge and my preferred version by Anne Queffelic. Hauntingly beautiful - a real tingle-factor performance.

I rather enjoy the Jacques Loussier Trio album for a less formal playing of Satie's most popular pieces

I heard a very nice version played on the harp recently on the radio but didn't hear who the player was. I'll try to find out as I'd like to hear it again. Peter
