Doshi amp owners, what speakers are you using?

I posted a thread on the speaker forum about what speakers former Sasha 1 owners are using. I've had my Sashas for about 6 years and are interested in exploring other options. Seems like Magico is a very popular choice for "post-Sasha" owners. But several raised questions about the capability of my Doshi Jhor (90wpc) amp to drive the Magicos, especially the S5.

But I really like the Doshi amp and full function preamp (Alaap v 2.1) and want to keep them. I've rolled the tubes in both and have found a great dynamic and sweet sound. So for those of you who have Doshi electronics, what speakers (other than Wilson) are you using and have found wonderful synergy?

Thanks much,

Dave

Dave - Nick makes great gear. I have one of his new Tape Preamps on order right now. Hope to get it in a month or two. As for his amp driving the S5's, the new S5 mk2 is reportedly easier to drive than its predecessor and I'm having no issues driving the S1 mk2's with even a single Devialet 200. Have you emailed Nick to ask his opinion on his amp driving the new S5 mk2?

Apologies to the OP for a slight thread detour, but congrats Mike on the incoming tape pre! Will be very interested in your thoughts. I love my early generation doshi tape pre. Tempting to upgrade :)

Thanks. I plan on pairing the Doshi Tape preamp with my Labor of Love (Studer A810). After replacing four cards and an extensive cleaning, I finally have it sounding where it should be.

Thanks for the input Mike. Great suggestion and I just emailed Nick to get his take on it. After going through a lot of amp/preamp combinations I want to stick with Doshi electronics for the duration. Even his first generation stuff is excellent.
