Very interesting, thanks for sharing this Mike! However there is one point in their process which I disagree with and that is regarding how they set the tonearm's anti-skating. It has been documented by analog experts that the a/s force required to maintain the arm's position on a groove free record will be significantly higher than what would be required to keep the stylus centered in the groove of a pressed record. This is due to the difference in skating force when a stylus is actually in a groove as on a normal record compared to a groove free record. When the a/s is properly set on a groove free record the arm should slowly drift towards the spindle. As such I believe that they are overcompensating with their a/s force setting and would be better advised to use a lower setting.
