Who's got either DAC and how would you describe their sound signature vis a vis other DACs you've tried in your system?

I heard both the Hugo 2 and Hugo TT in an unfamiliar system and kind've formed an opinion on their respective sound, but Id like to hear from those that have extensive or long term experiences with them. I know they're aimed at the head-fi crowd but gather many (most?) owners are using them in their permanent or primary 2-ch systems.

Mike, I just realized you're a Chord dealer from your line card. My searches for Chord on this site come up neg, have you shot out the Chord DACs against others you sell, thoughts?

Guess nobody here knows Rob.

Chord is more eurocentric and lots of anecdotes on their sound can be found on UK forums but this ain't the uK ;) also, most impressions are from Head-fi, Naim flatlanders and Linnies. I heard the Qutest and Hugo 2 in a dealers system and was really impressed, learning more about Dr. Watts proprietary filters etc, I believe Chord are unique in someways compared to the usual suspects in the DAC world.

Not at all. The Chord DAC’s are great in the $10K ish/sub-$10K bracket. I sell mostly Chord DAC’s to the headphone guys, but a few two channel guys have bought a DAC/Blu2 combo.

The Hugo TT2 looks to be a real winner. Mine is one order.
