Although the show is becoming less focused on high end audio but, still relevant.

What does everyone think will be the biggest trend (audio wise) for CES 2018.

My vote is for more MQA partners and announcements. Both hardware and software.

Network streamers raise their game.

DAC's with integrated network cards.

More trickle down technology in speakers to the sub-$10k market.

Speakers with DSP for the bass.

MQA grows.

All good predictions...

More powered wireless speakers ? Ala KEF LS50 Wireless

More articles commenting on the death of hifi at CES. CES being more and more populated by only the biggest names in the industry with most of their products being out of reach financially or just too darn big and space-demanding for poor little ol' me and everyone else I know closely. That followed by press coverage from only the big guys.

I do not miss Vegas in January. BRRRRRRR!! Give me the Los Angeles Show in June. :D

What I would like to see is a little more truth from the industry that I love. But I'm not going to be predicting that anytime soon!

Add to my previous comment- more dsp plate amps in speakers to manage bass leaving midrange hi frequency amplification in the buyer's discretion.

Predictions, high end audio will be further pushed away from the mainstream so CES can push the large movement for auto computing, personal mobility, VR will be big, self driving cars, security, medical bots and data sharing in the medical field, Amazon and Google getting further into the home hub and then back in the far reaches of CES could be some new Audiophile stuff hidden behind the home theater crowd as 4k components take a further stage forward. But I see new headphones and wireless audio will be there. I usually go with a dealer friend who sells Harman, AR, Mcintosh, JBL Synthesis, Focal, Cary, GE, Marantz, Klipsch but his business of late is everything and anything home theater and home security. Not going this year I will be going to the Mecum car auction and the Amelia Island Concours. So save the money for something more fun.
