Cerwin Vega D9 Speakers, blowing fuses

Fairly new to the vintage audio thing, and need a little help.

I currently have an Adcom pre-amp, pushing two Adcom 555II power amps. I have a set of Pioneer HMP-100 connected to one amp and they will rock. I recently bought a set of vintage Cerwin Vega D9 speakers and connected to the other Adcom Power amp. The Cerwin Vega's blow fuses quickly after any amount of loud volume is played.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, check your speaker cables from the amp to the speakers and make sure you don’t have any wire connections shorting out.
