Today, I have been listening to the McIntosh MHP1000 headphones through the C1000 Tube PreAmp and these headphones refuse to distort.
I have listened to Rock, Metal, Classical, Jazz, Punk, New Wave, Alternative - essentially a large majority of music genres. I have turned the volume to levels barely audible to 100% with each of the genres for sustained periods exceeded 30 min.
I am really impressed with the thought that went into creating these headphones as well as the C1000, MC2301s, MCD1100 and MB100.
I’ve done my fair share of grumbling about McIntosh quality. But, they certainly did a fine job with the MHP1000s.
