I currently have the BDA-1 and BDP-1. If I were to upgrade my Bryston DAC or digital player which would make the bigger sonic impact do you think? The reason I ask is the old problem of limited funds.
If you have very large libraries and want to use 3rd party programs like Tidal then the BDP-2 makes more sense as it is much faster than the BDP-1.
If on the other hand you do not need the speed then the new BDA3 DAC woud be a great move in the direction of improving the performance of all your digital sources.
Mike.......Bring the BDP-2 and the BDA-3 home and be done with it. You can recoup some of the upgrade cost by selling the BDA-1 and BDP-1. The sting of the purchase is soon forgotten. The pleasure of ownership lasts a long time.
How much is BDP-2 sound quality better than BDP-1? Been using my BDP-1 for a long time and I preferred BDP-1 combo with my Chord DAC (along with Empirical Audio reclocker + linear power supply) to a couple of all-in-one units I tried recently.

Yes Dan, I think the Bryston combo is probably a better solution than selling my C2300. Than C2300 is a classic and the Bryston DAC and digital player is getting rave reviews and has a lot of flexibility. Only problem is I can only get one piece at a time. That is will out selling off something.
kzhtoo,
i havent head the BDP-2 but it has that new sound card that every one says is a very big improvement in sound.
