I posted this a while back on another site but didn't get a response however I would still like to know the answer.

I was just wondering if anyone was using Furutech's CF-201R spades to connect to your Bryston amps and if there were any fit issues? These are the spades I'm planning on getting but I've come across a few different posts on different forums about spade fitting issues and people either squeezing or pulling wider their spades which is something I don't want to have to do. I don't think those cases involved Bryston/Furutech but it never hurts to ask just to be safe. I've also just recently read of an incident where a spade owner, not of the Furutech's but spades with a fancy end, in this instance he had to damage the plastic surround on the amps binding post in order to get the spade to fit properly.

Thanks

I own several Bryston amps and have used Furutech CF-201, FT-211, FP201 and FP-218 spades with no issues what so ever......The one's to avoid are the universal type spades, there wider at the tip of the spade then narrow towards the body of the spade and the narrow part doesn't fit well around the binding post shaft on some amps because the shaft is to large.

I guess you didn't like my answer?

Just call a spade a spade, they are nothing special and dimensions are posted online.

Hunh? What do you mean by " I guess you didn't like my answer?" This is your 1st post to the thread, you hadn't responded previously so I don't understand what you are referring to.

Apologies, I think I found where you had responded. That was on a difference forum than I was referring to above. I completely forgot I had posted the same question on AC and you had responded there back in November. The ole noggin' just ain't what it used to be.

Yes no problem, and I forgot it was in the Bryston forum so you probably meant a response from Bryston and not just anyone. Getting old is not that fun... ;)
