Break-in Oil Change

I've seen the GM motors being built at Tonawanda Engine. It's pretty pristine.

Unlike audio itself and audio reproduction (systems), where there is relatively little scientific knowledge and where many technological advances are adapted from other fields, there is an incredible amount of money and time involved in all aspects of automobiles (except perhaps their audio systems ). A single Formula One team spends more money each year than most audio equipment companies are worth. There is scientific data relating to how long any particular motor oil functions under various conditions; there is no reason to use or trust anecdotal “data”.

With the short first oil change, GM must be either adding a break-in additive or using a break-in oil....or there is a ton of crap inside their new dry sump motors. Probably the oil.....

Pretty much mirrors the crate engines I purchase through GM.
