Nice! I have two Stax Quattro II CDP that I like very much. Stax made some very good stuff.
 
the Stax tube reference DAC was legendary, along with museatex bidat they're snapped up quickly on the 2nd hand market.

Stax had a lot of legendary products, perhaps in part enhanced by their lack of obtainability.

Their amplifiers were reportedly in their day, the best. The only person I know who had one was the US importer Mike Detmer.

Did though hear the Stax electrostatic speakers. Brutal to drive, highly inefficient, not much in the way of dynamics but more magical IMHO than any Quad.

I heard F81 'stats back in the day when they were already out of production. At first the dealer wouldn't play them for me because they weren't for sale. "If you hear them, you'll beg me to sell them to you" he was right
