So i use Marten Coltrane's with Triode TRx M845 Monos and the Junone preamp. All IC cables are Jorma Prime, PC are Siltech Ruby Double Crown and SC are Jorma Statement.

My question is should i replace the stock jumpers on Coltrane 3's

with Statement jumpers or should i just get another length of Statement SC?

Will i hear anything different with a another full run of speaker cable?

I recall asking Leif Olofsson why Marten went from using biwire connections on the original Bird to single wire connections on the Bird 2 & got this reply...

"We have changed at the Heritage series because its more easy and cheaper for the customer to buy a good singe wire cable compared to a single wire cable. Many customers experimenting with different cable brands and types between the mid/high and low and that is not good. Still is a good bi-wiring cable in bi-wiring system a bit better so we kept it for the Coltrane series."

So the answer is, yes bi-wiring your Coltrane 3's with Jorma Statement wire would be a bit better, but imho probably not worth it in the case of the Statement sc's. Upgrading from say Prime single wires to biwires is not a significant investment, however to upgrade to Statement biwires means effectively you need to buy a 2nd pair of cables. Hence I think you'd get a bigger gain by investing that money elsewhere in your system. My vote would be to order a pair of Statement jumpers which should give you a worthwhile improvement over the standard jumpers. The savings could then go toward your next component, or buy you a helluva lot of cd's! ;).
