This is the record sleeve of a used album I bought in London 15 or so years ago. It was a TAS SuperDisc from the Charles Gerhardt film score collection on RCA, on films of Bernard Herrmann. Herrmann's autograph says "Regards and Greetings from Bernard Herrmann, Feb 10, '75. The musical quotation is the first few bars of "Citizen Kane." In small letters it says "Prelude to C.K." Herrmann died later that year. After I bought it, I showed the clerk the record sleeve. He said, I wish we had seen that - the price would have been higher.

I used this in my Decca book. Decca recorded many of the Gerhardt productions for RCA and Reader's Digest, and Herrmann also conducted quite a few albums for Decca's Phase Four label.
