...What's the most effective way to rid myself of junk emails? I receive about 400 junk emails a day. I have to go through my junk email file four or five times a day to see what emails I want to keep (or delete) from my junk mail files. Is there any way to intercept and significantly decrease junk mail? BTW, I am running Windows 10 and have Windows Defender and Malwarebytes and run regular scans. I usually only find a few wanted emails, maybe five to 15, in the junk folder each day. The remainder are junk. Is there any way to cut down on them? Is there a better way to screen junk mail?

Don't think it is a computer issue. Probably your email provider. If you have one of those email providers that is part of Oath (AOL, Yahoo. Verizon), you are not alone. Got rid of my AOL account (have to wait a drop before deleting the master screen name) but have seen just as much under spam from Yahoo email accounts.

See here as an example - https://aol.uservoice.com/forums/91...ack-the-block-on-only-receiving-email-from-th Unfortunately, if you have one of these providers, the Oath agreement they made you sign, gives them the right to scan your emails for key words. So they are likely getting advertising revenue from at least some of the sources you get junk mail from.

There are filters (words, subject matter contains, etc.) that email providers have. I tried to use them and they did little. So I moved away from AOL. I even had 1,000 (which was the max at the time) email address blocked and that was not effective.

I use 2 different Email accounts. One for family and business and the other for when I order online. I ignore the junk mail in the second account or I unsubscribe.

Use Gmail, most of your problems will be solved without you doing much.

I use Yahoo, and they block virtually all junk emails. It has been a while since I got one, and I have been using this Yahoo address since the mid 90s. My Gmail account also is spam free, but I only use that once a week.

I do the same thing (and have been doing it for quite a while). I have one for personal contacts and important stuff and another where I'll use it for forums or ordering things online.
