Hey guys - my friend Sonny wants to know if this would be a good pairing?

Mike, I love those speakers. Great midrange and great top end…..just a bit loose in the bass. I think two 275s would be outstanding. BTW, I ran mine with a MC452 and then my much preferred Classe CA-2300. I think they would like the more neutral 275s.

Sensitivity 90dB spl (2.83V, 1m)

Nominal impedance 8Ω (minimum 3.5Ω)

I need the vote between mc275 and mc601 for my b&w 802 diamond pls everyone. ..thankss !!!

Sonny I am sorry to say so but BruceLet is right. I heard the 802 Diamonds first with the Classé and that was marvelous. Then a later session with big mc's (I am sorry I forgot the number..) removed the magic. As Bruce said it was way too neutral and unexciting. I chose something better than the Classé but I can underline his statement: don't go for the Mac's....

I don't think that's what Bruce is saying. He is saying go for the Mac's (275's).

The big Bryston's work well with them. Bryston's SST2 series of amps are really good, priced right and work very well with B&W.

(edit) Ah just saw Mikes second post, I guess 601's, everything I have heard leans towards big SS on the B&W's

Sonny was over to my place for a listen to the 275's yesterday. I think he liked them.....but remains "ruined by Raidho". :)

He has good "price options" for 275's or Bryston 28SST2's.

Doug - you're behind the times. You need to follow Joe on Twitter for up to the minute gear swaps.

Joe and I are going to patent an amplifier LazySusan.
