Both the system and app updates work fine for me, with an N10...but can't say I've heard or seen the described changes.
Love the Aurender's stability and sound, though, best music I've ever had at home.

Oh, a more general question about the Conductor app: When you choose "Genre" from the top row of tabs, and say "All" is the choice from the second row, your categories of genre are shown, each with an album cover.
So my question is this: Why is the particular album cover shown for each genre?
It's not the first album alphabetically -- either by artist or album title -- in each genre. And it's not either the latest or the first album added in that genre.
So what's the choice method, the algorithm, behind each genre's displayed album cover?
