Aurender N100H Review

This may be my favourite digital audio piece of all time. Devialet not included as it is more than just a digital piece.
 
The N100H is a great value. Looking forward to reviews of the N10, which is here this weekend (Saturday and Sunday afternoons) during the Bricasti demonstrations with guest of honor Brian Zolner.
 
That Aurender is a sweet unit! I use one in my personal rig and love it... in fact, I've been recommending it to my Lampi guys!

Haven't tried this one but the comparisons I made last year when I was looking for a great computer audio source were pretty eloquent in favor of the Antipodes -- which is why I started selling them with our systems.
 
Too bad there is zero comparisons for competing units (CAPS v4 server, Sonore Rednu etc). It takes a lot of value from this review.

It seems the more advertising CA gets, the less comparisons the reviews contain.
 
Yeah, you have to sort of read between the lines. He didn't go ga-ga over it. My take is that he didn't find it anything special.

Exactly. Limiting discussion to Aurender, he praised W20 as best server in his experience last year. He referenced that. He also says the N100 gets you the same app/management of collection as the W20. Same audio USB out (I believe) too. He never commented on sound differences between the W20 and N100 which I gotta believe the W20 trumps.

My personal take is that digital distribution is still in it's infancy. It will only get better. I have both the McIntosh MB100 and the Aurender N100H. Both have their +/- points. There is no absolute perfect solution. That said, and I love my McIntosh MB100, there are some brilliant compelling Aurender N100H points. The unit is a work of art. Built quality: perfection. Good luck trying to beat it at its price point. If you are looking for an APP that runs on your iPad. Aurender perfected it...the amount of options: Indulgent. There are many choices to satisfy everyone's demands - Think Denny's.

If/when he reviews the N10, I bet he's going to be impressed.

Mike, wow. Brand, Make and Model. That is just...gasp. I can not qualify and adjective. Wow.

Hmmm. Combine that with a ClearAudio Double Matrix Sonic. BOOM! Audio Oasis. Though, the turntable alone. Who cares about snap crackle and pop. That baby forgives all sin!
