My friend uses the Auralic G2 and has added the Sirius. I'm not going to try to describe what this is, I'm bit out of my element. The unit is worth mentioning though as it did make a big improvement in his sound quality.
I was over to hear it and his system was good before but now the speakers have totally disappeared, depth in sound stage exhibiting depth in instrument positioning, increase in macro/micro dynamics, he had to recalibrate subs due to the increase in bass energy.
I'm not sure if the Sirius works with other brands but it makes quite a transition to your system if already using Auralic.
