Audiodesk speed

Hey

Got question about the Audiodesk cleaner.
In the dry cycle does the speed of the vinyl spinning double for several seconds?
In my dry cycle the speed starts slow and then speeds up and then slows again.
It does it routinely with each record.
Is this normal and what is it for
