I was curious on how many members have and believe using long interconnects to remove the rack from between the speakers. Or, is having a rack behind the speaker good enough?

Or should like I see most clean setups if I have the ability pay the extra money for the interconnect length and leave just the amplifier between the speakers?

I've been doing the former but, now seriously considering the latter. Moving my rack about 15 ft to the side of the room and thus leaving the stereo amp between the two speakers.

I'm hoping that this will further improve my soundstage.

I don't see why it wouldn't.

I use to have that setup (Amps only in the center, rack off to the side) definitely liked the sound. I also like the sound with some nicer interconnects and rack in the center.

For my new music room, I'm installing the rack with the stereo components on a side wall and running a long XLR interconnect cable to the amp. The amp will be on a stand between the speakers.

This implementation is a change from my prior room installation in which all components and rack where setup between the speakers (well, a little behind but on the same wall as the speakers).

I'm implementing this configuration after much consultation with many in the industry.

I’m hoping to accomplish similar.

Did these invidiuals cite an improved soundstage as a result of this configuration ?

That is the intent of this configuration. There are some postings on this topic in this and other sites. Good luck and let us know what's your experience. I'm posting mine after the setup is complete in a couple of months.

The only pieces that should be in your room are the speakers....everything else should be in another room
