As 2018 comes to a close and we approach the new year.

What would everyone like to see released product and technology wise from some of their favorite brands? For me, I'd hope we continue to see high end manufacturers offer their technology at more accessible price points.

I think the Magico A3 and Soulution 3 series have been great examples of this. To that end, I'm hoping for the following.

Speakers

Magico expanding the A series; A5 perhaps.

Perhaps an M7 or M1 to succeed the Q7 and Q1

YG Acoustics to release a competitor to the Magico A series

Digital

More DACs with Network Rendering built in. Will 2019 be the year USB is replaced with Ethernet?
Legacy connections such as AES/SPDIF being less relevant. Move to networking and other technologies eg i2s etc.
I want Tidal and MQA to succeed

Cables/Accessories

I'd like to see Shunyata release a Denali QR or a smaller Typhoon QR in the Denali series at a more accessible price point.

Viva 300b monos
A new Audio Research DAC
A VAC phonostage between the Ren V and Statement.
Magico A series center and A Rear speakers. Maybe an A sub too.
A more powerful Constellation integrated in the Taurus series
A killer ARC integrated built on the 160 platform
An Avantgarde amp that uses tubes
A speaker in between the MBL 101e mk2 and Xtreme
Roon enabled on the Hegel 590 integrated

Streaming Gear that has it's own interface and does not require an App and a Tablet or Smartphone. But I know I won't get my wish as everyone cuts costs and moves to the SP-App world.

A valve pre with;

a) Multiple (3) outputs where the output levels for each amp can be individually adjusted to accommodate for different amp sensitivities and;
b) Adjustable (phase and freq) sub woofer output

I basically have all I need. But a couple thoughts...

- Magico A book-shelve model and A sub would be nice, as Mike said earlier
- more racks which half-way justify the cost, too much snake oil and excess margin currently
- more cables like the Inakustik Reference LS 4004 AIR, which are open, transparent, airy, have nice midrange, sound colors and bass, and do not smoothen out or alter the sound signature, i.e. which are less there than they are noticeable in the system

Don’t care I got what I need [emoji38]

I like to see the super nice sounding integrated amp that can beat any separate.

How about the antidote for Audiophilia nervosa? :) go to more live concerts, get laid more often, eat at better restaurants, drink better wine. I dunno...

In the here and now I find im more content with the hardware I got. The plebeian effect?

I've owned a few good racks in my time & the one I've got now, 650lbs of native River Red Gum, beats them all. I am in the process of selling all Stillpoints & any other isolation. By the way, the wood is simply sleepers recycled off an old jetty that I sanded & made look pretty. Hardwood is the best isolation.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have indeed also thought about having one custom made.

are you saying you want a screen on the machine you have to walk up to ad touch to change the song?

A Shunyata power distributor model above the Denali 6000T and below the Triton/Typhon combo.

An affordable MSB CD/SACD transport for the Premier DAC.

I was looking for a rack myself. Last week I ordered a Solid Tech Rack of Silence regular 2 for my Octave mono power amps. If I like it I'll it I'll buy a regular 4 for the rest og my gear.

That’s interesting, I like those.

Yesterday I talked to a friend, who has carpentry skills, and we might actually build one together with a special vibration isolation system. Design would be Timbernation type, but I would like to use some really nice premium wood, like Walnut or something. I do like natural wood and it’s contrast with the gear.

Do you mean the wall behind the speakers or the wall behind the listener?
That would be the wall behind the speakers, as Larsen speakers are specifically designed for as shown below by John Larsen:

Thank you for the clarification. I have seen "front wall" and "rear wall" used interchangeably, so it can be quite confusing. I would think there would be a market for rear wall speakers right on the wall also in HT installations, especially in small rooms. I think the smallest Wilsons are designed to be very close to the front wall.
