Audio Desk RCM Review

That would be my only criticism when cleaning pizza cutters, the blades don't make sufficient contact. Another workaround is to stick a split plastic straw behind the blades to push them out a touch.

I must enquire about the mod. I would, much rather stick with this solution than the Klaudio as i am confident this machine is sympathetic! I am at approx 2000 washes.

The machines don't need a new top, but if you have records that come out a little wet, this is one solution. I understand that the top was modified at some point after the first units started shipping.

The mod is not a user-install option, so you have to send your RCM back to the Cable Co. I just did this, and Ethan was great in setting everything up. Most of my records are now coming out dry, with just an occasional exception. Otherwise my unit has performed flawlessly.

Thanks again Mike for setting up that group buy.

You sure did Mike: (that was a crazy story, interesting how fate works) Just to let you know I love my machine and I have you to thank for it.

This is a great machine. I was an early adopter and have cleaned many hundreds of LPs with it over the past 3 or 4 years.

Or a nylon zip tie cut to fit...

My unit (purchased couple months ago) has this new top. However, the problem is not completely solved. One in 4 or 5 records would have a few water droplets. Not a big deal but still a nuisance. On the other hand, the AD is relatively a joy to use and lured me back to listening to LP much more often.
