Atma Sphere MP-3 preamp

Does any one here have an Atma Sphere MP-3 preamp? I got to hear one today along with an ARC LS 27 with Magnepan 3.7i's and an Ayre VX-5 amp. The ARC was Dark and tubey warm while the MP-3 was more musical and SS sounding with a tube midrange and a touch of warmth. I was not impressed with the Ayre. It is much less dynamic and musical compared to my Pass X250.

I preferred the MP-3.

Can't help you there, but a question if I may. What is the upgrade from the 3.7 to the 3.7i?

It is a capacitor upgrade according to the owner of Audio Perfection the local Maggie dealer. I loved the sound. It was warmer and a little darker than the 1.7's.

I've always wanted Atma-Sphere gear and I'm not surprised you loved the MP-3. They make great amps and preamps.
