Anyone use AK in their home rig, or, ever compared AK to home units?

I didn't know they could be used for home audio as well. The units do what I want to do and the idea of being portable is icing on the cake.

I heard a couple models via headphones, a set I'm not familiar with, the sound sort of reminded me of the Direct Stream.

The mental thing of size, I just wondered how they compared to home units around same price.

I have an AK240 and can use a balanced cable from the AK240 to the input on my preamp. It sound very good and comparable to dedicated DACs in the $500 - $1000 range.
