if you listen to the Tiny Desk concerts on NPR, they're recording with one mic and presumably, a digital recorder. no over dubs, edits or any of that BS just a single take live in the room. More often than not, the SQ on the NPR live recordings blow away the artist's official release of the same music.

We need some kind of "truth in digital audio" laws because everything they have told us since CDs first hit the market has basically been a lie. We still have no idea how many "hi-rez" files available for sale are just upsampled RBCD files.
