I've had my Toyota Yaris for 7.5 years and have almost 135K miles on it. I am thinking about a new car for sometime this year or a 2016 model car/suv. I am all over the place in choices. I hate car payments and want to keep it fairly low. My Toyota has been outstanding and rock solid reliable. Sure it could use a little TLC but I am getting the itch for new.

I'd buy another Yaris in a heartbeat. Any Prius owners care to share their like/dislikes? That's one on the list, not sure what model though.

LOL. It sounds like you are like me. Spend money on important stuff, not a money pit car. I know three people with a Prius, and they all love them.

Thanks Bud. I drive about 80 miles a day round trip to and from work. Not too much sitting in traffic and almost all highway. I need my cash for audio gear :D. I need reliability in a vehicle.

So why not get another Yaris? I loved the Yaris (only owned one for a couple of weeks, long story) but did not enjoy driving the Prius (which I only rented also for a couple of weeks): the driving felt sloppy while the Yaris was fun and sharp, and not tiring because it was sharp.

Not that it helps, but there is a hybrid Yaris here in France, custom made for local tax incentives...

The current models are hatchback versions. I just might get another. I'll look at the new ones soon.

I own a Prius plug-in advanced. I bought it for the green stickers to get in the HOV lane. I have a 90 mile round trip as my daily commute. The car drives very well and is quick enough if you treat the accelerator like an on/off switch, but I do not get on at all with the NAV or voice recognition. I came from an E350 merc ... so to be expected I guess that I'd be disappointed, but it's not even close. I thought a Japanese car brand would have good electronics.
I've had it a little over 6 months and about to hit 12k miles. The plug-in feature is good as there are a lot of free parking/charging stations where I live. So I usually get a great park and free charge. I never plug it in a home - the gas is so cheap .... around $20 to fill it up.

Real men buy FJs and buy their gas by the 45 gallon drum not by the tea cup.:roflmao:
