Thanks for sharing, interesting.

Always curious, even though I am not convinced of their d'Appolito approach in the Reference Ultime. The principle is difficult to pull off well in a large floorstander. Also the design finish I find, let's say 'in progress'. The Alumine Three is essentially two square boxes piled on top of each other. Looks a bit like a spontaneous attempt to apply some of the Wilson design philosophy.



On a sidenote it appears en vogue, that if you wish to overprice anything audio dramatically nowadays, you need to say it is made in Switzerland.

Any other exciting announcements for High End, anyone?

I agree they are Very pricey, but the Ref Statement weighed like 300kg per box! Cost of goods is outrageous. They sound great too.

I spent an evening in a demo session with them last Sept and reported on it at Parttimeaudiophile.com

One of the best demos I ever heard and all driven from a MB Pro!!!
 
Thank you for the additional details, should be very exciting to hear them. As you realized, I knew the products just from publicly available descriptions.

Maybe I will try to pop by after all.

The Alumine 5 prototypes were on Nagra's facebook a couple months back, paired with 2 Nagra Classic amps. The new stenheim alumine 5 are supposed to be rated around 95db.

We didn't get a proper listening room for ICOS as we hoped, so I'll be there with Antipodes only, not really exhibiting, and hopefully quite available during the whole show. Any get together planned?

I also have tickets for Tosca at the opera on Sunday night if anyone's interested.
