I know Tannoy is born to play classical music for most of their models, but I think there must be 1 or 2 of them which are good for pop music.

I am looking for a pair of good floorstanding Tannoy for playing pop and female vocal. I auditioned Definition DC8T last week yet I was disappointed. Though it's very punchy, the sound is veiled, lack of details.

Any good suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

The 8T and 10T suck due to that veil and lack of detail. But then the 10A goes WAY too far in the other direction and make my ears bleed. I love the Kensington SE, Yorkminster SE, Dimension TD10, and Canterbury SE with their various flaws...all capable of excellence with pop music AND classical, though. The Yorkie is probably the best overall performer for its superb bass response, but the Kensington had the best midrange.
