Any Ayre Codex users out there?

Joe must have one as well, as he just got an KX-5/20 and VX-5/20.

Sorry, I live across the pond so my dealers are not of much use for you. You get much better pricing in the US anyway.

Ayre dealers will NOT sell out of territory. Ayre is VERY strict.
 
I'm planning to buy the Ayre Codex, can someone please confirm its a fully balanced design, can I drive my monoblocks (xlr) directly via the preamp of the codex? Thanks

Yes, it has a volume control and XLR connectors.

Typically I would agree, but the Codex has actually quite a good preamp inbuilt with the Diamond Stage as used in the Ayre preamps. This is as it also is a fairly decent headphone amp.
