So, tonight I go to load a playlist, and it is not there. WTF! Fortunately, my other iPhone had a slightly older version of the playlist, so I loaded it, and bought it up to date with newer music.

Anyway, while doing this I started experimenting and discovered the cause of the missing playlist. When you press the playlist button you get a menu.

I found that sometimes when you press overwrite it deletes the file. If that happens then do it again, and the the file is saved.

I suspect that is what happened to me as I am always adding/deleting a song and then saving the playlist with overwrite. I guess the last time I did that I did not notice the playlist was deleted.

Thanks for the report on Lumin app. It looks like this has something to do with recent iCloud changes, again.

It would be nice to move to a control device where Lumin (and others) were not blindsided by updates that conflict with the basic function of a music server.

With the latest iOS update JRiver 21 can no longer save songs to a playlist using the iPad. Remedy date unknown.

The advantage of Lumin players being OpenHome compliant is that you can choose another OpenHome control app if one has an issue - for control of music playback Lumin app and Linn Kazoo app are pretty interchangeable. (The latter has the advantage of being available on multiple platforms.) To a less extent UPnP control app will also work, but not all support gapless UPnP playback like JRiver does.

We have submitted a Lumin app update to App Store for approval, fixing two issues caused by iCloud changes.
